Training Courses in First Aid

1 Day Senior First Aid

Aim
This course deals with the provision of First Aid in recognising and responding to an emergency using basic life support measures until professional medical help arrives.

Description
This nationally endorsed course has been designed to allow students to achieve their Senior First Aid qualification in one day instead of two.
This results in significant cost and time savings for the client organisation and for the individual student. Students are required to complete a work book prior to attending the classroom practical session. Many students find that they benefit from studying at their own pace and at a time that suits them. Support by telephone and email is available from our instructors if required for any questions that students have with their work book before attending the classroom session.

This course incorporates the recent major changes in CPR made by the Australian Resuscitation Council in March 2006. You will learn the most up to date ARC techniques including hands on practice with an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) that may help to improve casualty survivability rates of cardiac arrest. This course was written by Paramedics and has been continually updated and modified to reflect the best current evidence based First Aid and prehospital techniques. We keep our class sizes small so that you can benefit from instructor help and support
